Two-time Ontario's Strongest Masters Club. This September, 16 athletes represent Canada at the World Master's Weightlifting Championships in Athens — entirely self-funded.
They are parents, business owners, teachers, healthcare workers, tradespeople and coaches — who train before work, after work, and between clients.
Nobody hands them a salary for this. There is no sponsorship contract waiting, no signing bonus, no travel budget from a governing body. There is only the barbell, the alarm clock set before dawn, and the quiet decision — made again every single day — to be world-class at something the world barely watches.
Every athlete funds their own journey. They pay for their own flights, their own coaching, their own accommodation in a foreign country — because representing Canada is worth more to them than any of it.
We're not asking for charity. We're asking our community to stand behind our team as a partner — and to be part of a story worth telling.

Local businesses are the backbone of our community, and many of our athletes are business owners themselves. We understand the value of supporting local. Your sponsorship helps us reach the World Masters Championships while giving your business meaningful exposure through our event, our members, our social media, and our journey to Greece.
Back working parents and neighbours chasing world-class goals right here in Burlington — real people your customers already know.
Help fill the gap left where funding for amateur athletes ends and the maple leaf begins.
Get your name in front of an engaged local audience at the event, across our channels, and inside the club.
Your support travels with us to Athens — and you'll hear about every lift, every result, every moment.
On August 16, the gym opens to the whole community for a fundraising weightlifting competition — where beginners and amateur lifters compete alongside the World Championship team.
It's a day to celebrate strength at every level, meet the athletes you're helping send to Greece, and raise the funds that get Team Burlington to the platform in Athens. Come lift, come cheer, come be part of it.
Every tier puts your name where the community sees it. Choose the level that fits — each one sends Team Canada closer to Greece.
Every sponsorship — $100 or $1,000 — is an investment in local athletes chasing world-class goals. When Team Burlington walks onto the platform in Athens, they carry the whole community with them.
